“Rachel has been an empathetic listener. With her guiding questions I was able to gain insight in my coping mechanism, recontruct the narrative for my past and solidify the my intention for my current life. Her encouragement and understanding has been of tremendous support during a difficult period in my life. I'm immensely grateful for this therapy experience”

-Client

“Neena was a wonderful support to us at a very dark time. She gave us solid techniques and tools to use to address our daughter's needs, and always listened to our experience with an open mind. But most of all she was genuinely compassionate and engaged with what we were going through. Our daughter felt she had an adult who believed her and would always try to help her improve. We felt supported as parents. Her support with communicating our daughter’s needs to her school was invaluable. Helping us to access the Pain Clinic at GOSH has brought our daughter real progress and relief. It changed the story for our family and has had a dramatic impact for the better on our family life. We will never forget Neena's role in this and her untiring advocacy and research on our daughter’s behalf. She went so much further than any other professional involved in our daughter’s care, and got us where we needed to be. Our daughter is well on the way back to better health and is a much happier child as a result of Neena's efforts. We couldn't be more grateful.”

— Parent of 8 year old

“I want to say a big, heartfelt thank you to Angelica. Working with her has truly changed my life. I was open to therapy, however because of previous experiences I had started to lose hope that I would find a therapist and course of therapy that could work for me. With Angelica's support, I feel I have turned a new corner in life. I can't over-state how grateful I am to Angelica. Thank you so much.”

What did you gain from therapy?

“It gave us a strong framework and also allowed us to sense check what we were doing in the day-to-day with a professional.”

— Client

“It was good to just be able to talk about my problems, I was able to explain them fully to someone who listened and got great advice on how to move forwards that wasn’t too overwhelming”

— Client

“Compared to previous experiences of therapy that were less successful, it felt like Angelica used the right combination of approaches to help me get to the root of troubling issues. I could feel myself truly progressing which was a big relief. I also really appreciated Angelica's very thoughtful, calm, and considered nature. I was never rushed or pressured. It created a wonderful, big, safe space for me to heal through therapy.”

— Client

“Therapy helped us to identify the roots of our difficulties and to develop strategies to overcome them. Also, talking to someone who understood and empathised made us feel less alone..”

— Parent

What advice might you give to someone who is unsure about therapy?

“To try it for a limited time, set realistic goals with your therapist and follow up on them. Try to imagine how you'd be feeling/ coping if you had no help at all. Your problems may not have disappeared but you should feel more in control of your response to them.”

— Parent

“To be open to the process. To listen and be guided by your psychologist.”

— Client

It’s life changing and it’s completely normal to want to have therapy

-Client

“Feeling unsure is very understandable and natural. The key thing is finding the right therapist for you, and that can be challenging. However, the potential rewards are life-changing. I would very confidently recommend Angelica as at least a therapist to start with. I believe she would work with anyone to help them figure out what works best for them in a safe and comfortable way.”

— Client

“Try it. It cannot be worse than where you are if you feel bad. You need to find the right therapist and don't continue if they don't make you comfortable”

-Client

Prioritise your mental health. Get help if you feel like you need help. It does work!

-Client

“The most difficult part was deciding to make the initial phone call. The therapy sessions thereafter feel comfortable and natural”

— Client

“It is not enough to just attend the sessions and expect that things get better because of it, therapy requires a lot of work in and out of the sessions. When deciding whether to start therapy think about whether you are really ready and if it's the right time in your life to give therapy the time it deserves.”

— Client

“I was sceptical myself but there was never a session that did not open me to seeing more of where my problems were.”

— Client

“Give it a try. Always good to talk”

— Parent

“Do it and, to make the most of it, be open and be reassured that you will not be judged.”
